1A. Company settings and SMTP
Configure tenant identity, regional defaults and the encrypted email transport used by scheduled reports, alerts and notifications.
Purpose
Configure tenant identity, regional defaults and the encrypted email transport used by scheduled reports, alerts and notifications.
Tenant Administrator
Company Comrado Aerospace; Asia/Kolkata; INR; STARTTLS on port 587; sender Moduvio Notifications <[email protected]>.
Before you begin
- Tenant Administrator is authenticated
- A dedicated non-production SMTP account and test mailbox are available
Procedure
- 1
Save company identity, timezone, currency, date format and default classification banner.
- 2
Configure SMTP host, port, transport security, username, password, sender and reply-to.
- 3
Reload the page and confirm the password is reported only as stored—not displayed.
- 4
Verify connection, then explicitly confirm one test email to the controlled test mailbox.
- 5
Edit the scheduled-report subject/body using only the documented variables; create a test schedule and process its queue.
- 6
Simulate an unavailable test transport and inspect retry and dead-letter status without exposing the SMTP secret.
Expected result
- Non-administrators cannot read or change settings or templates
- SMTP password is encrypted at rest and never returned to the browser
- Every settings, template and delivery action is audited without password material
- Disabled SMTP cannot verify or send
- Repeated failures stop at the bounded dead-letter state and remain visible
