Definitions for the terms used across Moduvio workflows and evidence.
Terms
A physical company facility, for example Comrado Aerospace Main Site.
A named storage address inside a site, such as a receiving bay, quarantine cage, rack or bin.
A controlled holding location for newly received or returned material. Stock here cannot be issued or used until an independent Quality Inspector releases it.
An authorised rack or bin where accepted material is stored after inspection and putaway.
The approved catalogue record for a part or material—its part number, name, unit, classification and control attributes. It contains no stock quantity and does not create inventory.
The supplier sending the material. Approval and current screening are separate controls.
The independently approved, immutable procurement or subcontract version that names the supplier, site, contract, ownership, approved item revision and maximum inbound quantity. It is not a bill or payment record.
An immutable, independently approved item/location min-max rule with ownership, source, order-band, pack, cadence and lead-time assumptions. It changes no inventory.
A classified advisory snapshot created by a due policy review. Acceptance records planning intent only; it never creates procurement, a transfer or stock.
A multi-line, independently approved work-centre demand. It shows availability and shortages but creates no inventory until a planner reserves exact stock or links a separate transfer/inbound authority.
Request for quotation: a zero-commitment sourcing event backed by approved part-requisition or replenishment demand and issued to at least two active approved suppliers.
The independently released commercial commitment created from one sourcing award. It retains exact item revision, quantity, unit price, currency and promised date, but creates no receipt or stock.
An immutable Buyer-authored version snapshot of changed price, quantity, delivery window, promised date, terms or quality clauses. A different Procurement Manager must approve it before supplier acceptance.
A complete versioned split of every PO line into dated deliveries. Its quantities must balance exactly to the current PO and dates must stay inside the approved delivery window.
An append-only, attributable supplier contact, risk, forecast or recovery fact against the current approved schedule. It never rewrites a contractual date; an out-of-window forecast requires a PO amendment.
An attributable response to a released PO, captured internally by a Buyer or through a hashed single-use UNCLASSIFIED portal sent out-of-band to the exact versioned Commercial contact. Acceptance creates a pending receipt authority for a different Project / Contract Manager; it never creates an ASN, receipt, stock, invoice or payment.
An immutable, independently approved internal cost-and-assumption package sourced only from an exact approved item revision or released product baseline. It creates no quote, commitment, demand, project, work order, procurement or stock.
An immutable priced version created only from one exact approved customer-estimate version. Internal release records Moduvio approval but does not send the quotation or claim customer acceptance.
An append-only internal fact backed by CLEAN controlled evidence of an externally made ACCEPT or DECLINE decision. It is not an electronic signature, message, callback or sales order.
A versioned internal capture of one accepted quotation and customer order reference. Independent approval creates only exact, site-scoped demand context; it does not create a manufacturing work order, RFQ, PO, receipt, shipment, invoice, accounting entry or stock transaction.
A read-only planning fact that pins customer, project, contract, exact item revision or released product baseline, quantity and required date. Supply and Manufacturing must use their own governed actions before anything is sourced, scheduled, made or moved.
A permission-scoped read-only view over one approved immutable build cost-rollup version and its exact operation evidence. Customer/contract context appears only when assigned site, project reference and exact released product baseline resolve to one governed demand line; ambiguity remains visible and unallocated. It is not payroll, budget, GL, AP/AR, tax, payment, inventory valuation or a financial posting.
An immutable, effective-dated Finance configuration version for one legal entity, country, jurisdiction and accountable site. Supplier-invoice capture may pin its exact active version and an eligible purchase rule; the profile workflow itself never creates a transaction.
A named percentage component inside one effective tax rule, such as independently stated central and state components. Components must reconcile exactly to the rule total; configuration does not calculate tax on a document.
A governed prefix, separator, digit floor, reset period and maximum-length policy. It describes numbering constraints only and never allocates a number or issues a document.
Advance Shipping Notice: the supplier shipment expected before it physically arrives.
The warehouse record created when the shipment physically arrives. GRN means Goods Receipt Note.
The controlled move from quarantine into an authorised storage bin after inspection acceptance.
One real serialized unit. Its canonical stock serial, OEM serial, governed internal serial and asset code are distinct identities that resolve to the same immutable record.
A persistent roll, reel, drum or other divisible handling unit. Its exact opening, issued, adjusted and remaining quantities stay linked to the same container, batch and location.
A typed, category-controlled batch field such as manufacturer heat or cure date. Definitions and value revisions require independent approval and observe field-level classification.
The exact stock transaction performed only after a Material Review Board case reaches an approved terminal decision. Votes alone never move or release inventory.
An attributable record of a product, material, supplier, document or process failure. Its controlled lifecycle is OPEN → CONTAINED → INVESTIGATION → DISPOSITION PENDING → ACTION IN PROGRESS → VERIFICATION → CLOSED.
Immediate proven action that limits the affected scope and prevents further escape. Recording containment never creates, moves, blocks or releases stock; an exact stock NCR may reference only material already in BLOCKED or MRB HOLD.
Corrective and preventive action. A corrective action removes a confirmed root cause; independent effectiveness verification must occur after every planned action is complete and before closure.
An evidence-backed request linked to one contained supplier NCR. Supplier Quality authors and captures versioned responses; QA independently issues, decides, verifies and closes. SCAR never posts stock or silently changes supplier approval.
A dedicated S1 branch linked to one exact already-held stock identity. Evidence is preserved before investigation; QA proposes an outcome and Security independently concurs or rejects it. Closure leaves material held and does not itself release, destroy, return or notify externally.
A versioned product-assurance package against one exact approved item revision and optional released BOM/product baseline. Product Engineering authors, Configuration approves, Inspection executes, Quality reviews and QA accepts or rejects. It creates no stock and grants no delivery or baseline-release authority.
A governed response when nonconforming product may already be delivered or in service. Flow 18 traces exact as-built genealogy into product units, records independent safety decisions and evidence of externally performed obligations, but sends no message and performs no custody action.
Top management's evidence-backed review of QMS suitability, performance, resources, risks and improvement. Flow 19 freezes governed metrics, sets measurable objectives and verifies attributable actions without changing any source Quality, inventory, configuration or external-message record.
A Quality investigation triggered by one exact failed calibration certificate. Flow 20 freezes the suspected invalid measurement interval and affected-use snapshots, records an independent Product Safety decision and verifies authoritative follow-up without changing calibration, custody, NCR, escape, inspection or product records.
A versioned mapping from applicable standard, customer, contract, regulatory or internal obligations to configured workflows/controls, named owners, required evidence, retention, segregation, reports, tests and gap risk. Clause references remain tenant-entered text rather than hard-coded product logic.
An immutable, site/classification-scoped evidence package that pins one exact approved compliance register and all 110 code-owned Level 2 practice snapshots. It calculates an internal score but is not certification, an assessor decision or an SPRS submission.
A versioned plan of action and milestones allowed only for an eligible NOT MET finding in an approved readiness assessment at or above the score threshold. Independent closure never rewrites the original assessment score.
The engineered end-product hierarchy. It is separate from an item master and creates no physical quantity.
A controlled hardware, software, firmware, document or interface element. Hardware points to an approved item revision and optional released BOM; documents point to an exact CLEAN controlled version.
An immutable versioned snapshot of selected configuration items, including required hardware quantity per configured product unit, independently released with all-unit, date or product-serial effectivity. Released baseline-linked customer demand can feed exact hardware-item planning when revision, unit and effectivity evidence resolve. It never creates stock.
One serialized end product associated with a variant and optional released baseline. It may link to an existing physical assembly identity without changing that identity's custody.
An immutable versioned snapshot of one released product baseline, exact assembly configuration item, released BOM materials and ordered routing. Production Manager release is independent from authorship.
A planning/evidence record that binds one released plan version to one exact existing assembly work-order output. It never reserves, consumes, receives or moves stock.
An immutable Manufacturing extension of one current approved TOOL/EQUIPMENT resource and its existing exact serialized physical identity. It governs crib, finite life, inspection/regrind and preset requirements without creating an item, resource, physical identity or quantity.
An immutable ordered definition of the exact released tooling controls, resource versions, capacity calendars, positions, setup values and tolerances that form one governed fixture for future dispatch pins.
The explicit Stores transaction that moves every exact serialized identity pinned to one released dispatch from its crib to one operational location through paired append-only stock-ledger movements. It changes custody, never total quantity.
An immutable fingerprint of the completed assembly output, every operation attempt, exact consumed component genealogy and matching registered product unit, followed by separate Quality and Configuration acceptance.
