Flow 27 — Released manufacturing plan to authoritative as-built
Release one immutable baseline/BOM-bound manufacturing plan, schedule an exact assembly output, record the ordered operation evidence, freeze exact completed genealogy and independently accept the matching product unit as built.
Overview
Flow 27 creates planning, execution-evidence and as-built records only. Reservation, consumption, output receipt, physical-identity activation and component genealogy remain authoritative in Assembly/Inventory; final acceptance changes only the matching product unit from REGISTERED to BUILT.
Manufacturing Engineer plan author → different Production Manager plan approver → different Production Planner scheduler → Production Operator execution/capture → different Quality Inspector → different Configuration Manager → Product Engineer / Materials Planner / Project or Contract Manager / Auditor read-only
Process
- 1Exact released source
Freeze the released baseline, assembly CI, item revision, BOM and material lines into plan v1.
Immutable planning snapshot - 2Independent plan gate
Reject for replacement or release only an unchanged source fingerprint.
No work or custody created - 3Schedule and execute
Bind one existing assembly output and record every routing operation attempt in order.
Assembly owns all material moves - 4Exact as-built
After assembly completion and NCR closure, freeze output identity, operation history and consumed components.
Genealogy read-only snapshot - 5Quality and configurationREAD ONLY
Independent Quality verifies; Configuration accepts the unchanged exact unit as BUILT.
Product unit status only

Detailed steps
- 1
As Manufacturing Engineer, open Manufacturing → Build control and create plan v1 from one exact released product baseline and included active hardware assembly CI. Confirm the released BOM material snapshot and ordered setup, assembly and final-test operations, then submit it.
- 2
As a different Production Manager, reject v1 and confirm it remains immutable. Create v2 as Manufacturing Engineer, submit it and approve it only while the released baseline, item revision, BOM and every component source still reproduce its SHA-256 fingerprint.
- 3
As a different Production Planner, schedule v2 against one exact existing assembly work-order output whose site, assembly item and BOM match the released plan. Confirm scheduling creates no new assembly work order, reservation or stock movement.
- 4
As Production Operator, record each operation in routing sequence. Confirm a FAIL requires the exact open MANUFACTURING NCR for this build, the next operation is blocked, and a retry can pass only after the attributable attempt remains retained. Close every failure NCR in Quality before capture.
- 5
Complete the authoritative assembly work order through its existing reserve, consume and complete transitions. Link the received active output identity to one matching REGISTERED product unit, then capture as-built v1. Confirm the immutable snapshot contains every operation attempt and exact output-component allocation.
- 6
As a different Quality Inspector, reject v1 and capture immutable v2. Accept v2 only if the authoritative fingerprint is unchanged. As a different Configuration Manager, accept v2 and confirm the exact unit changes REGISTERED → BUILT while current_stock, stock_ledger, assembly status, component allocations and physical identity remain unchanged.
Field-by-field practice data
Create a released manufacturing plan and bind one training assembly output for controlled execution. The page shows sample set A; the workbook includes independent A, B and C values.
Field names match the current application labels. Select existing approved records where shown, leave optional values blank unless they genuinely apply, and never copy fictitious TRAIN values into live work.
Create the manufacturing plan
Select the exact released MBOM and define the plan before independent Production release.
| Exact field name | Requirement | Sample value A | How to use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Released manufacturing BOM | Select existing | TRAIN-A-MBOM-001 v1 | Select the current exact released MBOM. |
| Plan title | Required | TRAIN-A actuator build plan | Use a unique controlled plan title. |
| Valid from | Required | 2026-10-01 | Start of plan applicability. |
| Valid to | Required | 2027-09-30 | End of plan applicability. |
| Work-instruction summary | Required | Build per released routing operations 10–40. | Summarise the controlled execution boundary. |
| Material handling | Required | Kitted batch-controlled components; preserve genealogy. | State approved material rules. |
| Released instruction evidence | Select existing | TRAIN-A-MPL-EVID-001 | Select CLEAN controlled evidence. |
| Exact assembly output | Select existing | TRAIN-A-WO-ASM-001 | Bind only the existing Assembly output. |
| Target start | Required | 2026-10-10 | Use the planned build start. |
| Target completion | Required | 2026-10-12 | Use the planned completion. |
Expected result: The plan copies exact definition evidence and creates no reservation, issue, receipt or custody movement.
End state
One BUILT product unit retains independently released manufacturing-plan lineage, exact assembly-output scheduling, ordered operation attempts, closed exception references, immutable component genealogy and separate Quality/Configuration decisions without duplicating material or custody authority.
