Material issue kits
Reserve exact available stock for a work order and perform an independent scan-confirmed issue, keeping handheld offline intent separate from server-confirmed custody.
Screen orientation
The Issue screen is available to eligible Stores, Materials Planner and Tenant Admin roles. Server actions require kits:read, kits:plan or kits:issue and enforce site/clearance. Plan kit is shown to Materials Planner or Tenant Admin; the kit planner cannot issue the same kit, even with additional roles.
Plan kit opens a single-balance reservation form. A local offline-status panel and metric cards sit above reserved kits and up to ten recent issued kits. Scan and issue opens a work-order handoff dialog with one source-bin scan per kit line.
Field reference
The entries below describe the current screen controls and read-only values. They do not relax server-side validation, site scope, classification handling or required independence in a governed decision.
| Field or value | Control | Required or shown when | How to use or read it | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Work-order reference | Text | Required; at least two characters when planning. | Use the controlled work-order reference that the issuer will reconcile at handoff. | Pins the purpose of the reservation. |
| Project / contract | Text | Optional. | Add project context where applicable. | Retains planning context on the kit. |
| Receiving work centre / Purpose | Text | Required; work centre at least two characters, purpose at least three. | Identify the recipient cell and build or maintenance operation. | Records why material is reserved. |
| Exact available balance | Select | Required; revision-pinned unrestricted stock at an authorised non-quarantine location. | Select item, revision, bin, ownership and batch/serial/container together. Legacy unpinned stock must be attributed before reservation. | Determines the kit site and exact stock source. |
| Reserve quantity | Decimal | Positive and available; serial quantity is fixed at one. | For a container, reserve only available content from an open reconciled container. This form plans one selected balance. | Moves the selected quantity from UNRESTRICTED to RESERVED. |
| Scanned work order | Scanner or text | Required for issue; must match the kit reference. | Scan the kit's work-order reference. For a requisition-created kit this is the requisition number displayed on the kit. | Checks the authorised recipient context. |
| Issued to | Text | Required; at least two characters. | Name the receiving person or work-centre custodian. | Retains the physical handoff recipient. |
| Authorization reference | Text | Required; at least three characters. | Record the applicable pick-list or supervisor authority. | Provides attributable issue authority evidence. |
| Issue notes | Text | Required; at least three characters. | Describe purpose, packaging and handoff condition. | Retains the issue rationale and condition. |
| Scanned source-bin code | Scanner or text for every line | Exactly one matching source-bin scan per reserved line. | Scan the physical source bin for each line; the server compares it with the reserved source. | Prevents issue from an unrelated location. |
| This handheld's offline transactions | Read-only local status | Shown when KIT_ISSUE intents exist on this handheld. | Follow QUEUED, SYNCING, CONFIRMED or CONFLICT with the idempotency key; a local queued record is not posted stock. | Separates local intent from server-confirmed issue. |
Actions and effects
When to use: By an eligible planner after selecting exact available material.
What it does: Creates the kit and paired reservation ledger movements; does not issue material.
When to use: For a reserved kit by a different eligible issuer.
What it does: Opens the scan-confirmed handoff without changing stock.
When to use: After work-order, recipient, authority, notes and all source-bin scans are complete.
What it does: On server confirmation, posts MATERIAL_ISSUE out of RESERVED, marks the kit issued and reconciles container content where applicable. Offline submission stores an intent for later revalidation.
When to use: While the issue dialog is open.
What it does: Closes the unsaved handoff only; it does not cancel or release the reserved kit.
Lists and states
- Reserved-kit queue: number, classification, work order, work centre, site and line quantities identify the pending independent handoff.
- Recent issued kits: kit number, work-order reference and named recipient are retained separately from local handheld intents.
Authority boundary
Reservation moves UNRESTRICTED to RESERVED; issue consumes RESERVED through MATERIAL_ISSUE. The kit planner cannot issue the same kit. A queued offline issue is not a confirmed ledger posting, and issue alone does not prove installation into a product.
