Inspection and putaway
Independently disposition quarantined receipt material, then move accepted stock to an authorised location. Inspection and movement remain separate decisions.
Screen orientation
Inspection decisions require the relevant Quality authority; putaway requires the relevant Inventory authority. Both screens enforce tenant, site and classification scope.
The Inspection queue shows quarantined lots awaiting a Quality decision. Accepted material then appears on the dedicated putaway screen at /putaway for an authorised physical movement.
Field reference
The entries below describe the current screen controls and read-only values. They do not relax server-side validation, site scope, classification handling or required independence in a governed decision.
| Field or value | Control | Required or shown when | How to use or read it | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Disposition | Select | Required for an inspection decision. | Select the observed Quality outcome for the exact lot or serial context. Use a controlled MRB route when the outcome needs further disposition. | Determines whether the material remains held, is accepted for putaway, or follows the governed exception route. |
| Inspection note | Long text | Required for an attributable decision. | State the observation and rationale, including any certificate or evidence reference needed by local procedure. | Becomes retained decision evidence; it is not a replacement for an attached controlled document. |
| Certificate reference | Text | Required only when the inspection path requires certificate evidence. | Use the exact supplier/manufacturer certificate reference that supports this lot or serial evidence. | Associates the inspection decision with the declared certificate evidence. |
| Scanned source location | Scan/text | Required for putaway. | Scan the physical quarantine source and verify it matches the accepted record. | Prevents an authorised user from moving a different source balance. |
| Authorised destination | Select | Required for putaway. | Select only an eligible destination at the same authorised site. The screen excludes unavailable locations. | States the intended usable or controlled destination. |
| Scanned destination code | Scan/text | Required for putaway. | Scan the physical bin code before confirming the movement. | Verifies the destination identity against the authorised selection. |
Actions and effects
When to use: When the independent inspector has examined the exact received evidence.
What it does: Creates an attributable Quality decision; it does not silently move physical material.
When to use: Only after accepted material, source and destination have been verified.
What it does: Posts the explicit authorised movement and updates the stock ledger.
Lists and states
- Inspection queue: receipt, item, lot/serial, quarantine status and evidence identify the exact material under review.
- Putaway candidates: show only accepted balances awaiting an authorised move; they are not an instruction to pick arbitrary stock.
Authority boundary
Quality decides suitability; Inventory performs custody movement. Neither screen creates a receipt, supplier approval, cost posting or ungoverned stock adjustment.
