5. Reservation, issue, transfer and work-order return
Preserve exact bin, batch/serial and ownership identity across internal demand and custody handoffs.
Purpose
Preserve exact bin, batch/serial and ownership identity across internal demand and custody handoffs.
Materials Planner, Stores Officer, Quality Inspector
Work order E2E-CA-WO-001; reserve 2 E2E-CA-ACT-001 from MAIN-01; transfer 1 to SITE-B; return 1 unused unit.
Before you begin
- Usable unrestricted stock exists
- Source and destination locations are authorised
- A CLEAN return inspection report exists in Documents
Procedure
- 1
Plan the work-order kit against the exact stock identity.
- 2
Have a different Stores Officer issue it after work-order and source-bin camera or keyboard-wedge scans.
- 3
Dispatch and independently receive an inter-location transfer with camera-confirmed transfer, source and destination references plus a seal reference.
- 4
Authorise the unused return, then use the Camera actions to confirm the return reference, work order and quarantine location before independent intake. During inspection, camera-confirm the selected restock destination and link the stored report version.
Expected result
- Reservation immediately removes quantity from usable stock
- Planner cannot issue their own kit
- Dispatcher cannot receive their own transfer
- Decoded previews require operator confirmation and do not post stock
- Return evidence is linked to the immutable document version
- Wrong location, over-return and identity substitution are rejected atomically
