Repair and replacement assurance

Govern the evidence that an exact serialized NCR disposition was repaired, returned, replaced and independently reinspected without acquiring source custody authority.

Screen orientation

Who can use it

Quality Repair permissions, site and clearance apply. Scope author, QA reviewer, Product Engineering, mode-specific coordinator, inspector, review QA and closure QA remain attributable.

How the screen is arranged

The register opens exact-source scope history and then exposes technical review, coordination, authoritative fulfilment, checklist reinspection, review and closure according to state.

Field reference

The entries below describe the current screen controls and read-only values. They do not relax server-side validation, site scope, classification handling or required independence in a governed decision.

Actions and effects

Create or replace scope

When to use: From an eligible exact serialized NCR source.
What it does: Freezes the source and requirements without changing NCR, MRB or identity.

Approve scope and technical basis

When to use: By independent QA and Product Engineering in sequence.
What it does: Authorises assurance tracking only.

Record coordination and fulfilment

When to use: By the exact mode-specific authority after real source work exists.
What it does: References maintenance/custody/RMA/replacement evidence without performing it.

Reinspect, review and close

When to use: After complete checklist evidence, with the required distinct QA actors.
What it does: Accepts a current PASS result and closes assurance while leaving source records authoritative.

Lists and states

  • Repair-assurance register: use status, exact version and accountable actors to distinguish current work from retained history.
  • History and evidence: hashes and source/version references identify the immutable facts used by each decision.

Authority boundary

This surface cannot move stock, execute MRB, create maintenance or custody records, receive a return, replace an identity, alter the NCR or send an external message.
